Easy Holiday Spritz Cookies

Spritz cookies are some of my all-time favorites. They are tiny and festive and, best of all, super easy to make (which is a relief after making my sugar cookies with royal icing)!

Thanks to my trusty OXO Cookie Press these spritz cookies were a breeze. It is easy to load, easy to press, and easy to clean! (It is the #1 best selling cookie press on Amazon for a reason!)

My family made Spritz cookies every year before Christmas. My sister and I loved to decorate them. Some people add red and green food coloring to give them Christmas flair, but I grew up squarely in the sprinkle camp.

It was fun to watch Maddie partake in the tradition this year! She is obsessed with sprinkles, and, like her mother, is very meticulous with her sprinkling.

After the cookies are decorated, they bake in just six minutes. Quick cookie = quickie! LOL – I just made that up.

I hope you love these as much as I do!

Here is a tip no matter what spritz recipe you use . Put your cookie sheet(s) in the freezer for 30 minutes before pressing. Do not use parchment or anything else. Press onto the ungreased cookie sheet. Also, replace 1 cup of the flour with 1 cup of cornstarch.
