5 Tools For A Perfect Blowout

For most of my life, I’ve had long hair. In the winter, my hair is dry and flat. In the summer, it is frizzy and my baby hairs are out of control! This past fall, I chopped my long hair and moved to the shoulder length cut above. Ever since, I’ve been working hard on perfecting my hair styling routine. These are my five favorite tools for a perfect blowout:

1) Aquage Beyond Shine ($18.90) is my FAVORITE hair styling product of all time. In fact, if I could choose just one item on this list, this would be it! This spray protects, straightens and shines your hair. I spray my hair from roots to ends (not too much, just to coat the hair) and then blow dry. Whenever I use this product, people ask me if I’ve gotten my hair cut. My husband actually commented on my hair at the dinner table earlier this week…if you wan’t proof, there you go!

2) The Supersalano Hair Dryer ($149.00) has a powerful airflow, which dries hair quickly. This is like a professional hair dryer for your home! I’ve had mine for almost five years and I’ve taken it around the world and it is still working like new. You should use the diffuser that comes with it to concentrate the air on sections of your hair. But, I’ll be honest, I lost my diffuser years ago and the dryer still works like a charm! In summary: worth it.

3) The Spornette Porcupine Round Brush ($7.50) is perfection. I have also been using it for years! It has nylon and boar bristles which pulls the hair and keeps it straight while drying. The best part, the 2″ brush is just $7.50! There are several size brushes you can choose from. This is a great brush for an unbeatable price. (Fun fact: Growing up, I went to school with the Sporn kids of Spornette!)

4) For the best blow out, it’s best to blow dry your hair in sections. These Black Croc Hair Clips (6 for $7.99) hold thick and heavy hair out of the way as you are styling.

5) I love bigsexyhair Spray & Play ($8.99 for 1.5 oz). I like the small size because I can carry it in my bag or take in in my carry on suitcase. Bottom line: it is light and holds your hair without feeling heavy or greasy.

You can check out the reviews of all of these products on Amazon. Winners – all of them. If you try any of these products, let me know!

If you have any secrets to hair styling perfection, I’d love for you to leave a comment!
